Commercial Loan Officer (256-675)

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for contributing to the expansion and monitoring of existing relationships, development of new relationships with commercial businesses, (Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate), their owners, and employees. This is done through outside calling and community involvement. The position is also responsible for the review and collection of financial statements and other application documents to determine the viability of loan requests prior to their submission for underwriting.
This individual will be expected to develop a personal calling program to meet his/her goals and objectives. The ability to develop relationships with commercial customers and maintain close contact with those customers is crucial. This individual is responsible for the collection and review of financial information and other annual documentation necessary, or as required for existing commercial loan relationships, as well as the coordination, preparation, and review of loan documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Though based in Orchard Park, calling area includes Chautauqua and Erie Counties.
Required Skills
Ability to read and understand financial statements as a tool in making credit decisions
Basic understanding of financial institution policies and procedures
Computer literate in Word and Excel
A strong commitment to the communities in which Lake Shore Savings is represented
Good communication, sales and public relations skills
A high degree of confidentiality is required for this position
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that a positive working relationship with customers, coworkers and managers exists
Must interact professionally with other employees, board members, customers and external vendors
Required Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in commercial lending

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
