Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Oversees the daily operations for the Payroll staff, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local policies and procedures. Trains, evaluates, and develops Payroll team, coordinating workload to assure priorities are established and executed. Review and approve payroll cycle reports and special requests. Oversee US monthly, quarterly and annual tax and W-2 filings, including review and approval of all payroll tax administration responsibilities. Manage and maintain strong controls in preparation, review, and distribution of company's payroll. Responsible for preparing, maintaining procedures and documentation for Payroll Operation. Research and implementing changes to policies and procedures to improve the quality and effectiveness of payroll services. Recommend ongoing changes to improve the productivity and cost of Payroll services. Responsible for the end-to-end Payroll process, including preparation, processing, post- Payroll, and tax filing, in coordination with the outsourced payroll solution provider. Responsible for/oversight of Shadow payroll, Expatriate payroll, Canadian payroll. Establishment of Center of Excellence for Executive Non-Qualified Retirement Plan. Provide education regarding tax impact of taxable fringe benefits as necessary. Oversee Gross up calculations and stock transaction reporting. Work with third party vendors who provide information for Payroll processing. Ownership of daily payroll issues including support for HR leaders in resolving payroll issues, irregular payments, and employee or vendor inquiries. Review and approve changes made to earning and deduction records. Oversee the preparation of required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance companies, or other organizations. Coordinate with Payroll provider to implement new payroll-related legislation. Responsible for timely and accurate integration of Payroll for acquired businesses. Provide excellent customer support to employees and functional areas, and external customers as needed. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or other related discipline of education and experience. 5+ years hands-on payroll experience including oversight, management, or equivalent  experience of end-to-end payroll processing Intermediate level expertise knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Powerpoint, Excel and Word. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.  In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred Qualifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, or willingness to obtain.  Payroll Process Experience including reporting, auditing and processing  ADP COS experience a plus.  Familiarity with time & attendance systems  Experience with other ADP Payroll Systems (Workforce Now; ADP Reporting, Enterprise, iReports, Quickview,iPay, Concur) a plus Experience with Expatriate, Shadow, Canadian Payroll, and Stock transactions, preferredAbility to read and understand technical and written instructions and/or prints including stack-up of tolerances. Soldering experience Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. 00QMT

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
