Operations Manager

Cobham is seeking an Operations Manager to ensure the profitable operation of a value stream. The Operations Manager will drive continuous improvement through root cause problem solving methods. Build people to get results and develop bench strength within the Value Stream. Development and execution of the Sales Inventory and Operations Plans (SIOP) focusing on capacity and material planning, with a proactive approach to mitigate risk to the forecast and budget plans. To ensure program team operational performance metrics includes sales, gross margin, quality, inventory, and on-time delivery are met. Lead Value Stream in the development of operational strategy, aligning with the other extended leaders in Business and engineering groups. This position is located in Orchard Park, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive operational KPI's within SOF performance management system and strategy deployment.
Lead and develop plans for Operations in SIOP process specifically in the areas of capacity and material availability.
Serve as Lean Six Sigma Champion, leading cross functional groups towards the future state to include: team strategy deployment, productivity improvements, waste elimination, variation reduction, teaming and performance recognition.
Support site wide initiatives in Supply Chain and Quality.
Supervisory responsibilities include indirect reports: Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Planner/Buyers, Production Supervisors.
Ensure the deployment of and adherence to standard work.
Ensure all operational processes are carries out in accordance with safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures.
Assist and support divisional business strategy and organizational transformation and actively communicate with similar functions within division seeking out best practices.
Plays an active role in developing the weekly/ monthly production schedules, working with a combination of Business Administrators, Business Managers, and Planners/ Buyers.
Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or other technology degree.
2 years of experience supporting manufacturing production goals and operations planning
Ability to think strategically and develop operational plans.
Thorough working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma enterprise.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to lead and facilitate progressive change and deal effectively with all levels of management.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in operations management or equivalent leadership role.
Possess a working knowledge of business finance and ability to link financial outcomes with operational actions and strategy.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
